It idles nicely. I spent about 5 minutes messing with it. Upping the timing at idle smoothed it out. I will probably eliminate the lower throttle body junk eventually.
The 1 is fine. 2 is nice with the larger tables, and I'm sure it would help on a daily driver for smoothing things out. Do you need the things the MS2 provides?
It's fairly simple to upgrade to MS2 later on. I probably will. _________________ 97 Eclipse GST

Aaron, i see in your other post you talked about getting some hardware for getting the knock sensor setup to pull timing. You have some info on this? I guess im not good at searching.... I see the diagram in the extra section but I searched on the diy site for the components and didnt find them.
I think I am going to get one next month. _________________ Frank

oops. yeah Joe's got the link. Haven't hooked it up yet though.

and a wideband is the balls.
Just set up an AFR table (not mine), drive and log, run the logs through the analyzer, burn the new msq file to the ecu. The tune is better every time you run it.
If anyone wants a log and msq file to play with let me know.
I also upgraded to the 4bar map sensor.
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/mapdaddy-sensor-with-barometric-correction-p-117.html
Install was simple. It replaces the existing map sensor, and you run a wire over to a pin on the ecu socket. Works perfect, and I believe the 4 bar map sensor is more accurate than the standard sensor. _________________ 97 Eclipse GST

So this is working like an auto tune feature with the WB? If so that is awesome! _________________ Glen

Finally got the 6bolt swapped into the 2G and started up on the megasquirt.
The 2g now has the motor from the Laser, stock 6 bolt. Evo 16g, wideband, and standalone. Should be fun to drive around. I may try autocrossing this heap. _________________ 97 Eclipse GST

Was wondering why I never see it downtown anymore. _________________ Glen
